FLITWICK EAGLES UNDER 17’s 2010/2011

This Flitwick Eagles team born in the years 1993/1994 initiated their footballing prowess in the year 2000 when they turned 7 years of age;  the majority tussling for honours in those early days between the three Flitwick lower schools  and  the then newly formed N7A junior Milton Keynes leagues for their respective teams.

Colin Clague then brought the best of that early talent together to help them enjoy success at Under 7 - Under 11.

Intervening years saw the boys taken from Colin’s early Flitwick Eagles teams individually to professional clubs like Rushden and Diamonds, Cambridge United and Milton Keynes Dons.

They came together again with new Coach Dave Tiller, at  under 16 in a National Council initiative that embraced the message of keeping Knife Culture out of the Fantastic game called the ‘No knives project’

The ‘No knives project’  was instrumental in bringing us all back together this season and saw almost every talented Flitwick Eagle footballer play together again. Overseen by the captaincy of Jordan Darvall;  his desire to want play together with his old team mates, combined  with Tiller’s and Clague’s enthusiasm to see great talent playing  together again and  unleashed as a team, were key factors in bringing these great players back.

Mates from Ampthill that had played at the highest level were then introduced to complement the team you see here today.

Flitwick Eagles is a community and charter standard club that provides quality coaching and Football opportunities for youngsters at Eaglets from 3 years of age to veterans alike.

Nathan Mallett – 8- Striker – With so many goals to his name this season Nathan’s spree would suggest that he has played without opposition to his penetration. This is not the case; Nathan’s individual skill and quick clever feet, supported by considered and understanding assists, have ensured he has tormented some great defences this season.
