Match Report Saturday 7th May
Flitwick Eagles GU12 VS Luton Town Ladies GU12
Rufus Centre 10,30 kick Off
Team : Amber Lara Chloe Annie Michaela Holly Lorren Lucy Lili Freya
Flitwick Kicked off with a good start straight away which was positive and attacked the Luton goal with a long ball down the wing from Freya, and a shot from Lara going wide, Luton pushed back and defended well with some strength coming from their players pushing the ball forwards directly through the Flitwick midfield.  Luton shot at goal and hit the bar Flitwick were lucky that didn't go in, a great goal kick from Amber sent the ball flying into the Luton defence who immediately passed the ball pack and Lorren intercepted and passed it to Lara who took it past two players with some great footwork, then looking up realized the shot was blocked and put a brilliant pass to Holly who got on the end and stuck it into the back of the net - GOAL !!!!!!!
Luton kicked off and sent the ball screaming into Eagles defenders who cleared with some confusion but eventually got it cleared - within the next couple of minutes Luton stepped up and passed the ball well and shot at goal and it hit the back of the net - 1:1
The game then saw some action at both ends but Flitwick started to struggle getting past Luton again, Luton began to push harder and eventually found the Flitwick net again 1:2.  Luton had several shots at goal Amber kept Flitwick in the game with some superb saves keeping the ball from destroying the scoreline any more.
Luton kept the pressure up and were determined to attack the Flitwick goal, Michaela, Lucy and Annie did manage to deal with some of the attacks but the ball found the back of the net to lead to a half time score of 1:6.
half time
Flitwick went back out into the second half a bit more committed to getting some thing from this game and trying to stop the Luton Town attack, our Midfield tried to keep the ball but seemed unaware of what to do with it when in possession,  Chloe and Lili went out and stepped up Flitwicks game with Lili making some excellent runs down the wing and calling for the ball, but every time it cam across from Holly or Lara their defence managed to deal with it, then Lili took a great touch from a goal kick and passed the ball to Lara who made the most of it by heading goalwards, struck the ball and it flew into the Luton net 2:6 within a few minutes the ball found a cross from Lorren to Michaela who took it down the left wing and passed to Lara again sho struck it with a left shot and found her second goal! 6:3   Luton soon replied with a shot from the half way line breaking past our players and struck the back of the net!!!
Final score 3: 7

Match Report 30th April
From the first whistle Flitwick attacked with strength from midfield Chloe and Beth, pushing forward and ensuring all the play was in front of the Leighton PR goal, with some long passes pushing to the Flitwick midfield every time the ball was sent to the wings with a performance from Freya keeping the opposition at bay. There was plenty of action with some superb tackles from both sides and some excellent skill from the Flitwick players.
The game soon balanced out with an abundance of corners from the Leighton attack always defended well from Flitwick again Annie and Chloe getting the ball away safely with some saves by Amber keeping Flitwick chances of a win alive.
Michaela playing as striker today had another excellent game just missing the back of the net on several occasions. just before the half time whistle Freya hit a volley and struck the cross bar!
Half time score 0 -0
Second half -
Quickly Leighton attacked with a shot at goal within the first 30 seconds this was saved by Amber, then the ball was sent down the wing and Lorren passed through to Michaela and Lara both having a shot at goal but eventually hitting the side netting. The ball was taken by Lucy several times to the half way line as a midfield player sending the ball to Flitwick strikers, again miss!

Leighton had a superb shot at goal from some distance but went over the cross bar! then an shot from Leighton went into the back of the Flitwick net! Flitwick responded well and within a minute Michaela shot the ball past two players and drew level 1:1. GOAL!!!!!
Then both teams stepped up with end to end action, corners and some long throws, the game could have gone either way with some more shots from lara and Lorren none finding the net, then 3 minutes from the end Lucy put the ball through and Lorren passed to lara who turned past three players and shot the ball past the keeper GOAL!!!! 1-2
Flitwick kept up the pressure and maintained the lead - Final score Flitwick Eagles 2 Leighton Park Rangers 1
Girl Of the Game - Annie King-

Match Report: 9th April

Todays Match took Flitwick Eagles GU12 to a sunny Langford, the game started well and Flitwick took plenty of posession and passed the ball well, the long balls from the back found Holly and Lara on several occasions, Lorren took a superb corner the ball struck the back of the net GOAL!!!!

More attacking play left Langford standing still and unable to get near Flitwick, with tackles from Chloe and Bethany keeping midfield alive, Freya made a great challenge and won the ball passing it to Michaela and then a long ball to Holly went into the back of the net, GOAL!!!!

Langford started to attack our midfield and then a shot at goal straight to Amber saved but Amber had to come off whilst injured Holly replaced Amber for a stint on goal, then a few minutes before the end of the first half lara struck the back of the net from the side of the box GOAL!!!!

Half Time Flitwick Eagles 3   Langford  0

Second half saw a determined Langford attack the ball and Flitwick started to watch the game and lost concentration and Langford had several shots at goal keeping Flitwick in the game but unfortunately a goal meandered past the line and went into the Flitwick Net ! This gave Langford the boost and they picked up whilst Flitwick again started to back off the ball and not attack, however some long passes from defence gave us some more shots at goal with a shot from the half way line just hitting the cross bar from Lara, Lucy kept strong in defence making excellent challenges and winning the ball on most occasions taking the ball to the half way line and passing to our attacking players. Langford passed a ball down the wing and Flitwick were no where when Langford shot a ball at the Flitwick and goal and scored again. With this Langford had the energy to win the game and in quick succession scored two more goals taking the final score to 3:4

An unlucky result for Eagles all the hard effort and energy should have taken a win today, next game 30th April away VS Leighton Park Rangers

Lucy and Micheala were awarded Girls Of The Game.

Captain Michaela Finn
