The Flitwick Eagles Pre-Season Tournament at the home of Flitwick Eagles on Ampthill Road in Flitwick is the ideal preparation for the forthcoming 2023/24 Season, for newly formed or existing teams.

With 140+ teams (mixed)competing in age groups from U7 through to U15 and a guaranteed hour of football matches for every team; it's a great opportunity to see your teams in action before the new season.

As we have a new Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) this coming season all 11-A- Side competitions will be separated into Cup (on grass) and Plate (on the AGP), formed of groups of 6 playing a round robin format. NOTE : The Cup is for teams that compete in higher divisions with the Plate for lower divisions (you will be asked to state the league and division you play in when purchasing your ticket).

Please take note that teams entering the 11-A-Side Plate competition, will be playing all matches on the Artificial Grass Pitch and there will be a strict ‘Acceptable Footwear Policy ‘ in place. Please ensure the players and coaching staff are fully aware of this.

(This tournament typically sells out fast, with many clubs returning year on year, so please book early to avoid disappointment !)

Hosted over 2 days, all the teams are guaranteed to play at least an hour of competitive football, with the

winners of each group going through to play in a final.

** Please remember this is a pre-season tournament for forthcoming 2023/24 season (not the current season!), therefore the age group you enter should be that of next season i.e. if you are currently U10 then you need to be entering the U11 tournament (do not enter the age group of your team for this current season!).

Please have your Club Affiliation info, Club Secretary, Team Contact, League and Division details available when booking your tickets. Tickets are available here.  (Sold out)

A range of food, drink and other refreshments are all available at the event, we have something for everyone, with outside seating for the Bar and Café.

Marshalled FREE car parking for teams and spectators is nearby at Redborne College, only a few minutes walk away, just follow the signs.

PLEASE NOTE: Parking at the Football Centre is RESTRICTED for Blue Badge holders, Staff, Tournament Organisers, Referees and First Aiders ONLY. Please follow the signs to the FREE parking at Redborne College.

IMPORTANT NOTE : Dogs are not permitted except for assistance dogs (and you will be refused entry if you attend with a dog) as per FA Guidelines.

There is a £2 admission fee per adult supporter (not children or players). If you don’t have cash, card payments are also accepted, however this will delay entry, therefore cash is preferred (and exact change if at all possible!).

See Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) - Acceptable Footwear Policy for 11-A-Side Plate Competitions

For all teams competing in the 11-A-Side Plate Competitions on the new Artificial Grass Pitch (AGP) as part of the Flitwick Eagles Pre-Season Tournament, there is a strict acceptable footwear policy defined by the Flitwick Football Centre, that you need to comply with.

Please ensure that your players and coaching staff are fully aware of the policy and bring the correct footwear.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Football boots with moulded studs or plastic screw-in studs are the only footwear permitted on the Artificial Grass Pitch.

There can be no exceptions to this and any players or team coaches deemed to be in breach of the policy (i.e. not wearing the required footwear) will not be allowed onto the AGP. Please take note !

Although this may seem a bit harsh, it is absolutely necessary in order for the Flitwick Football Centre to maintain their warranty on the new pitch; to pass the FIFA accreditation (so that matches can be played on the AGP) and to avoid sizeable maintenance bills.

  • Yes – Permitted : Football boots with moulded studs, screw-in plastic, nylon or rubber studs less than 15mm long are the ONLY footwear permitted on the Artificial Grass Pitch.

  • NO – Cannot Be Worn : Boots with blades, metal studs, metal tipped studs, astroturf trainers / boots, shoes and trainers with flat soles CANNOT BE WORN and are NOT permitted on the Artificial Grass Pitch under any circumstances.

All,

Thank you for entering the Flitwick Eagles FC Pre-Season Tournament, it’s a fantastic way to give your team a run out before the new season. We have teams travelling from a number of different counties and leagues, let’s hope that the weather and traffic will be kind to us and that you all come back again year on year. The tournament online is here: https://fulltime.thefa.com/index.html?league=125156416. Please share these details with all your supporters so that they can follow online (plus please share the details below about parking and the temporary traffic lights !!)

There are separate tournaments on the 2nd & 3rd September. Please double check the day your team is playing. It’s the day on the name of the ticket you purchased.

If you are playing in the AM tournament then please try to register your team no later than 8:30am. First kick-offs for the AM tournament are at 09:00am.

If you are playing in the PM tournament then please try to register your team no later than 1:30pm. First kick-offs for the PM tournament are at 2:00pm.

NOTE : There is absolutely NO parking or dropping off at the Football Centre (except for Blue Badge Holders). Please instruct players / parents to go straight to Redborne College.

WARNING : There are currently road works on Steppingley Rd near the leisure centre in Flitwick; also more lights just beside the football centre where Aldi are building a new store, which will cause issues even for Blue Badge holders; more disruption at the A6 Clophill roundabout, so please ask all your attendees to check Google Maps and allow enough time to get there.

Please DO NOT drive to the football centre to park you will NOT be allowed in. This is for Blue Badge Holders, staff and organisers only.. Go straight to Redborne Upper School parking and follow the direction signs and/or the instructions of the Flitwick Eagles Car Parking Marshalls….

Redborne College Parking is a 5 to 10 minute walk away (players can be dropped off in the Drop Off Zone which is closer and walk across the footbridge to the Football Centre if running late). Please see the ‘FE Tournament Address-Directions-Information’ flyer for a map and more information about parking and tournament information.

Please advise drivers that they need to allow about 20 to 30 additional minutes to their journey time for parking up, plus another 10 minutes; to give players enough time to walk across to the Football Centre, to be ready for their  first match. It gets very busy all around Redborne Upper School for about an hour before kick-off times.

Please pass on the following additional important information to all your supports :
